Cotecna has been appointed by DGSM Oman for the Oman Energy Efficiency Scheme | Middle East News
We are proud to announce that Cotecna has been officially notified by the Directorate General of Standards and Metrology (DGSM) Oman to conduct conformity assessment activities under the Oman Energy Efficiency Rating (EER) Scheme.
This new designation means that, in addition to being authorized for the Oman Low Voltage Equipment (LVE) Scheme, Cotecna can now issue Certificates of Conformity for EER regulated products.
What is the Oman EER Scheme?
The Oman Energy Efficiency Rating Scheme is a vital initiative driven by DGSM to ensure that energy-consuming products meet established energy performance standards. It is part of Oman’s efforts to promote sustainable development and reduce energy consumption through regulated benchmarks.
Authorized Product Categories
Under this designation, Cotecna is now authorized to conduct conformity assessment activities for the following product categories being imported into Oman:
- Air Conditioners
- Washing Machines
- Water Heaters
- Refrigerators and Freezers
