Plastic Waste Management Initiative by Cotecna CPS Team

Cotecna CPS has announced a complete transition from non-compostable poly bags to compostable alternatives across its operations.

Cotecna CPS has announced a complete transition from non-compostable poly bags to compostable alternatives across its operations. This initiative marks a significant milestone in the company’s commitment to environmental stewardship and responsible business practices.

The shift is part of Cotecna’s broader sustainability strategy, which aligns with global efforts to reduce plastic pollution and promote eco-conscious operations. Compostable materials, unlike conventional plastics, decompose naturally in composting environments, leaving behind no toxic residue and contributing to healthier ecosystems.

The Cotecna CPS team estimates that this switch will result in an 18% monthly reduction in plastic-related costs, demonstrating that sustainability and cost-efficiency can go hand in hand. Beyond financial savings, the environmental benefits are substantial: compostable bags break down without harming soil or marine life, helping to curb the long-term impact of plastic waste.

Cotecna is also encouraging its employees to adopt eco-friendly habits in their daily routines. From minimizing single-use plastics to rethinking packaging and waste disposal, the company believes that every small action contributes to a larger impact.
