SASO introduced a list of prohibited and permitted gases for all air conditioning and refrigeration devices, sourced from the National Center for Environmental Compliance Control.
The Saudi Standards, Metrology, and Quality Organization (SASO) have made an announcement regarding a new circular, dated 08/26/1440 AH corresponding to 01/05/2019 AD. This circular is an addition to their previous one, which outlined the requirement for all conformity assessment bodies notified by SASO to specify the type of Freon used in conformity certificates. This requirement applies to all devices related to air conditioning and refrigeration.
In light of this, SASO has now introduced a list of prohibited gases and permitted gases for all air conditioning and refrigeration devices. This list has been sourced from the National Center for Environmental Compliance Control. The purpose of this list is to guide the issuance of certificates of conformity, ensuring that they align with the approved gases listed. This list is to be used as an appendix to the previously mentioned circular.
