The Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) has indicated that some products previously under the level of compliance type 3 will now be under type 5.
SASO has informed Cotecna that the level of compliance was raised to type 5 conformity assessment type for some electrical products.
A SASO Quality Mark are therefore now mandatory for the following products:
- Electrical Cord Extension (since August 6th 2020)
- Plugs and Sockets outlets (as of February 7th 2021)
