SASO/SALEEM Product Safety Programme
The Saudi Product Safety Programme, also referred to as SALEEM, is administered by the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO).
The Saudi Product Safety programme (SALEEM) was developed to ensure that products imported into the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) comply with national Technical Regulations, with the goal of protecting consumer health and safety.
SALEEM is implemented through the SABER online platform, which facilitates the registration, evaluation, and certification of products that fall under SASO’s Technical Regulations.
Cotecna has been notified by the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organisation (SASO), in Asia, the Middle East, Europe and the Americas, to ensure the compliance to the applicable standards of all regulated products imported into the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The SASO Saudi Product Safety Programme aims to protect the businesses from fraud and ensure that products are free from defects that may affect the health and safety of consumers. It includes a two-stage certification process to export products into the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia:
